A new five-floor hospital will be constructed on the corner of Main and Keyser Road in Tokai. The R300m hospital is expected to be constructed over a 14 month period and construction will commence soon.
The hospital will be complemented with their own ambulance service, it will also consist of 148 beds, four operating theatres, an obstetric theatre and a catheterisation laboratory for cardio neuro-vascular procedures.
Several sites were considered for the hospital, however Tokai was chosen as it is the ideal location on Main Road with close proximity to transport routes and commercial developments.
